This is one of my favorite quotes from Henry Ford, and he said it perfectly.

Our mindset can really shape our success, failures, reactions, and decisions. This is true in all areas of our lives, not just in regards to self image, weight loss, nutrition and clean eating. Our happiness depends up on our mindset. . .

  • Do you let little frustrations ruin your whole day?
  • Do you go to work hating your job, yet you haven’t done anything to try and change or improve the situation?
  • Perhaps, you are at a point with yourself that getting dressed in the morning is frustrating and you hate everything you put on?
  • Or do you avoid going shopping because you’re unhappy with how clothes fit – or dont’ fit?

This was me. I’ve been in these shoes before and I was in the ‘woah is me’ mindset. Poor me…I hate my clothes, I hate my job, I was annoyed by little things and felt bothered all the time…BUT, I have good news – all of these situations can be changed, by shifting your mindset from negative to positive. Imagine how happy you could be simply by shifting your mindset – ok maybe it isn’t so simple, but it can happen. Imagine your life 3 months from now:

  • You wake up every day with the mindset of living each day as if it was your last.
  • You’re able to laugh at the small things that are currently frustrating you, or have taken the time to prevent those annoyances from reoccurring over and over. . . so now you have more emotional energy to pour into other areas of your life.
  • You’re not where you want to be at work but you’re taking the attitude of gratitude –  thankful that you have a job, a roof over your head, a paycheck every other week and you are actively working to improve the situation so you don’t have to continue to be miserable listening to your annoying co workers talk about stupid stuff or your boss who is impossible to please.
  • You have accepted that you are who you are, chosen to love yourself and are working towards a better you daily. You’re working on improving your self-image by cleaning up your diet and enjoying the benefits of exercise. Or, if you’re already doing that – you’ve now chosen to take the time to focus on yourself through meditation, relaxing your mind – giving it a break from the hustle and bustle, and living the best version of you every day.

NewMindsetIt may  be hard to envision these things happening or living the the state of mind as mentioned above. I was skeptical myself, trust me. Until I read “You are a badass” by Jen Sincero.

This is one of many quotes that really resonated with me…and it is soooo true!!! If we have an underlying subconscious belief that what we want is going to cause us pain OR isn’t available to you {my old mindset}… then you are the only person keeping yourself from getting what you want. This book was a life changer. But, there was a lot of post work and still work to be done daily to live in a mindset of happiness, freedom and love. NoMatterWhatMindset, in my opinion, is the most important asset you have. It is more important than your nutrition {yes achieving the body you want largely depends up on nutrition} or any kind of physical abilities you have. Why? Because your mindset shapes your results. If you doubt yourself, you will not achieve your goals and as Jen says, ‘you’ll be fucked about it and go off and lose it anyway’
